With BAFA® laid scrims, static is no longer a hair-raising issue. Antistatic laid scrims, for example, are laminated directly onto nonwovens. A steel fibre blended yarn gives the nonwoven additional support while dissipating its electrostatic charge.
Speaking of support: BAFA® laid scrims hold materials perfectly in shape. Their stabilising effect makes textiles easy to pleat. Under water, too, BAFA® laid scrims perform well – as reinforcement in cable tapes for submarine cables.
